Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? No problem. We have answers for you!
Q: When are Key Club meetings?
A: Meetings are held every Thursday both lunches unless stated otherwise. Typically they'll be in the auditorium or Mrs. Cox's room.
Q: How do I join Key Club?
A: All you have to do is come to one of the meetings and pay the membership fee and you'll be a member! You can join at anytime throughout the year, but keep in mind that signing up to be a member means being active by coming to meetings and events as often as you're able to.
Q: WIll we just be doing a bunch of work by being in Key Club?
A: Absolutely not; Key Club is a great experience to help out your community, bond with classmates and all the while feel great about the change you're bringing into the world. We will have volunteer projects and chances for community service, but we will also have fun activities planned for our members-- you'll be enjoying yourself so much you won't even consider it work.
Q: What are hours and what do I do with them?
A: Hours are earned through time spent at activites or events. You have to have a minimum of 5 hours to continue an active membership, but they also come in handy for events that require you to leave school to attend or if you decide to run for a board position. They just help us keep track of your effort in service!
Q: Do I have to attend every event?
A: Nope, no one is required to attend everything! Extracurriculars and sports can make attending many events tricky, so we understand if you aren't able to be as active as you'd like. However you will need to attend some in order to gain hours.
